There is such richness of beauty in our world,

Each and every month offers great promise to us.

April’s promise has come to pass,

The apple tree has richly fruited at last!

Golden apples with red and green,

What a wondrous sight is seen.

Our garden tree is laden with fruit,

As in April’s true promise developed on every shoot.

God in His goodness, our Creator Father,

Feeds us from heaven, a bounty richer,

Fuller by far than that we alone can make

For in the kindness of God He will undertake,

To be Provider of all the necessity,

Endowing life with gifts a-plenty.

Rosy apples, plump, delicious, full rounded,

Oh our belief in God’s goodness is well founded.

Trees heavy with fruit, apples promise cider.

Faith in God will be a divider,

Between a life enjoying the fullness of love,

And those not benefitting from the Trinity above.

The wasps are about busily seeking

As apples turn themselves to the sun causing ripening.

The apples flourish in the warmth and the light,

Just as we do when Jesus is our faith’s insight.

September, a month of fruit’s fulfilment

The opening of a season, God sent.

The development of April’s expectation, a declaration to later fruit,

Whilst Jesus is the same fulfilment of promise for us.

For all this happens at the hand of the Creator,

All praise and thanks to the Lord God, our Creator.

Dearest Father, thank You for the promise in April of later fruitfulness, which You have, as seen in the beautiful abundance of attractive apple blossom, now brought to fulfilment in rich fruitfulness. Jesus is Your

promise made to us of our life’s fulfilment, as our hope in Him becomes our joy. Thank You for being the Provider of all such riches. Bountifully You bless us, whether in fruitfulness which is edible, or the tangible

love of our Saviour Brother, Your Son we call ‘Jesus’, for He rescues us from our brokenness. Truly You bless us most richly and we rejoice! Amen.
